PAINTING

by February James

I have been following February James on Instagram for awhile now and she blows me away weekly. She has an artist intuition and an established style. Check out her new work at the Papillion Art space in Los Angeles until May 17th.

"I’m attracted to the lost people of life.  I come to them rather intuitively and they wash past me in much the same way.  Each of us feeding one another's need.  People collecting people."

CERAMICS

By Angel Oloshove

Angel is a Houston based ceramic artist, who is getting me into that Springtime mood with her colorful ombre sculptures and ceramics. You can tell Angel is a motivated artist, overflowing with talent and creativity. In an interview with MythandSymbol.com, she said she is focusing on her line of functional ware and sculptures this year. I can't wait to see what she serves up.

FACES

By Alan Williamson

One of my favorite Tumblr artist these days, Royal Crow. He is a self taught artist who draws and paints faces. I have always been drawn to portraits, whether it be in a photograph, drawing or painting. These abstract faces are so interesting and unique to the Royal Crow style. Be sure to follow his tumblr for weekly inspiration.

EMBROIDERY

By Patricia Larocque

I am currently browsing through the Famous Friends Embroidery website (link above) and everything is just perfect. Patricia's illustration style embroidery is simply a work of art. We all know I am a fan of illustrators and illustration in general, so I am living for Famous Friends. She has coin purses, plushies and pins available now on her site.

PHOTOGRAPHY

by Choong Ching

Ching is a documentary style photographer that travels the world and photographs local people and their culture. Street photography has always appealed to me because the subjects captured in these photographs are not expecting to get their picture taken that day. They are just living their lives. Photographers like Choong Ching allow us into their world for that one moment in time and provide us with the opportunity to connect to a person we have not and may never meet. You can check out the stories behind some of Ching's pictures on exposure.co.
